Particle Image Analyzers

PARTICLE IMAGE ANALYZERS

Advanced particulate materials are becoming very important in the manufacture of high-performance and multi-functional products. Traditionally, these particulate materials have been characterized only by particle size distribution measurements. However, in addition to size information, particle shape information, which affects the various properties of final products, is required for characterization of advanced particulate materials. A particle image analyzer makes it possible to analyze both the size and shape of particles simultaneously, while a laser diffraction particle analyzer measures particle size only.

JASCO Particle Image Analysis Systems

JASCO now offers seven particle image analysis systems. The new line of particle image analyzers includes:

• Wet Dispersion: Injection Flow Particle Image Analyzers - IF-200nano/IF-400nano
• Wet Dispersion: Circulation Flow Analyzer - CF-800nano
• Dry Dispersion: Free Fall Particle Image Analyzer - FF-30micro
• Dry Dispersion: Air Flow Particle Image Analyzer - AF-30micro
• Vacuum Dispersion Particle Image Analyzer - VD-400nano
• Scanning Image Analyzer - SC-2micro

PIA-Pro Particle Image Analyzer Software

The PIA-Pro Particle Image Analysis Software quantifies particle size and shape using more than 30 parameters. In addition to commonly used parameters, parameters to analyze needle-shaped or fiber particles and unique parameters to evaluate particle surfaces are also available.

Wet-Dispersion Systems
The IF-200nano, IF-400nano and CF-800nano are wet-dispersion particle image analyzers.
Dry-Dispersion Systems
Dry particles are dispersed on a glass plate by the unique sample dispersion unit and a camera captures images of the dispersed sample.
Scanning Image Analyzer
The SC-2 micro is a unique analyzer, dedicated to texture analysis of food products like bread, polymer forms or fibers.
