JASCO Gains
Recognition with
CD and ORD
In 1962, JASCO developed the ORD/UV-5, an automatic recording spectropolarimeter with double beam UV-Vis capabilities. To complement this instrument, a dedicated accessory, which enabled circular dichroism (CD) measurements, was introduced. This was the beginning of JASCO's successful history in spectropolarimetry instrument manufacturing. JASCO soon became recognized as the world leader in the Chiro-Optical spectroscopy and Circular Dichroism market .
