1972 : JASCO's HPLC

JASCO's first HPLC system, the FLC-150, was released in 1972. With the same attention to detail and customer-based input, JASCO designed this system to offer high resolution, reliable performance, and optimal separation efficiency. JASCO introduced the modular concept, which is still popular today, enabling users to configure a flexible system to fully satisfy a wide-variety of user requirements. JASCO has always offered a variety of detectors, including UV-Vis, fluorescence detectors and differential refractometers. In 1973, JASCO added the world's first variable wavelength UV-Vis detector (Uvidec-100). The Uvidec-100 is a significant achievement in the history of HPLC. At that time, there were only fixed wavelength (254 nm) UV detectors. Later, JASCO added the dual monochromator variable wavelength fluorescence detector (FP-210), scanning UV-Vis detector, scanning fluorescence detector, chemiluminescence detector, and the world's first circular dichroism (CD) detector (CD-995) in 1997. Today, JASCO offers the widest range of detectors and pumps of any HPLC manufacturer.
