JASCO, world leader in chiroptical spectroscopy, provides two high-performance solutions for chiral LC detection. Only JASCO offers you a choice of detector options to suit your application requirements for detection of chiral compounds.
JASCO offers the OR-2090 optical rotation detector (ORD) for a highly sensitive and universal HPLC detector of chiral compounds. With the ability to set the wavelength of choice to match the optical rotation of the eluting compound, you can optimize the sensitivity of the OR-2090 detector. The OR-2090 uses a high-intensity Hg-Xe light source and allows the user to set the wavelength of analysis from 350-900 nm. The OR-2090 also comes standard with built-in temperature control to provide added stability. This economical detector offers the highest performance with greater flexibility than any other commercial detector.
For the highest sensitivity available for chiral detection, JASCO offers the CD-2095 Circular Dichroism (CD) detector. With a similar ease of use and the sensitivity of standard UV detectors, the CD-2095 allows detection of enantiomers down to the nanogram level. Since the CD-2095 is UV absorption-based, it functions as a chiral detector and also provides a second channel of data corresponding to the UV absorption of the eluted compound. This feature also gives the user the ability to determine %EE, g-factor, or fraction collection cutoffs for incompletely resolved peaks. The CD-2095 is insensitive to gradient elution, and is available with high-pressure and preparative flow cells for whatever type of analysis you need to perform.
